Synopsis

When a prominent businessman is found dead on a golf course, Nero Wolfe — an eccentric genius who refuses to leave his brownstone and obsesses over orchids, gourmet food, and the precise temperature of his wine — agrees to take the case. His sharp-tongued assistant Archie Goodwin handles the legwork while Wolfe solves it from home through sheer intellect. As both men dig into a murder that looks like an accident at first glance, they uncover a web of blackmail, old grudges, and a deadly secret hidden in plain sight.
