The GodSpill

The GodSpill
Synopsis
Mirolah did the thing everyone said could not be done and returned the GodSpill to Amarion. There was a debt attached, and it has come due: the restored magic pulls at her, trying to draw her soul out of her body and take it in. She holds it off while she and Wildmane go looking for the mentor she lost.
In the coastal kingdom of Teni'sia, Mershayn — a philandering swordsman with a talent for making his own situation worse — is trying to keep a newly crowned king breathing inside a court that has no interest in cooperating. The lords manoeuvring around him are better at this than he is, and their plotting could end the king's reign and Mershayn's life together.
North of all of it, Avakketh, the god of dragons, turns his attention toward Amarion and the human lands. The three threads run alongside each other, and what keeps getting in the way of facing the god is not the god — it is the characters' own failings.
