Synopsis

Kate Winters has spent nine months in captivity. Over that time a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and an unwanted pregnancy have all tried her, and she has come through each. Now the Queen of the Gods demands Kate's unborn child, and Kate has no means of stopping her.

Then Cronus, King of the Titans, makes an offer. If Kate gives him her loyalty and devotion, he will spare humanity and let her keep her child. Accepting still means the destruction of Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. Refusing means Cronus will tear the world apart until every god and mortal is dead.

Kate has to choose between love and life, between Henry and their child, between her family's end and the world's. Her only way out is to defeat the most powerful being in existence, and the attempt may cost her everything, including her eternity.

This is the third book in the Goddess series, which follows The Goddess Test and Goddess Interrupted, so it is best read after them. It is a fantasy built on Greek gods and Titans, with the stakes set high from the first page and a heroine who has few choices left and none of them safe.
