Synopsis

Told from Aaron Warner's point of view, this companion novella is set after the events of Imagine Me, once Juliette and Warner have helped bring down The Reestablishment. Life in the aftermath is anything but easy: alongside their friends at the Sanctuary, they work with limited resources to begin stabilizing a fractured world. Warner, who proposed to Juliette weeks earlier, is eager to finally marry her, but the surrounding chaos keeps making a wedding nearly impossible, including a last-minute disruption that forces them to postpone. Told in present tense, the novella trades large-scale conflict for a quieter, more domestic focus on the couple's attempt to build a future together. It carries Warner through his struggles after saving the world with his team, balancing tenderness and humor against lingering uncertainty. Serving as the final novella in the original series, it offers fans a closing glimpse of Warner and Juliette rather than a new central conflict.
