Synopsis
A local heiress has vanished from Frederickport, and the town does what small towns do: it talks. Danielle Boatman, who has her hands full with Marlow House and its resident ghost, finds the disappearance landing squarely in her lap.
Complicating matters is a man who claims he can see ghosts. Danielle actually can, which puts her in the unusual position of being able to test him — and of wondering why someone would pretend to a gift like that in the first place.
The third Haunting Danielle mystery keeps Bobbi Holmes's established formula: Walt and Danielle, a coastal town's worth of neighbours, and a cozy puzzle with a paranormal shortcut that is never quite as helpful as it sounds.
