Synopsis

Teo Anand, the former ne'er-do-well second son of the Anand Tech empire, has crash-landed on the Moon. He is a fugitive across the solar system, falsely accused of murdering his family, and he has just survived another attempt on his life. His best hope of clearing his name is his friend Ocean Yoon, a bold Korean space pilot.

The trail leads to Artemis, a lunar city with deep Korean roots and ghosts from both Teo's and Ocean's pasts. Their circle of loyal comrades has been joined by tentative new allies, and it is hard to tell who can be trusted. Time and options are running out for Teo.

Two newcomers complicate matters. Haven is a pensive medic whose beliefs challenge Ocean's own. Phoenix is a dashing space raider who has barged into Teo's life in more ways than one. Meanwhile Corvus, the real killer of the Anands, leaves destruction behind that threatens the whole solar system.

This is space opera and the sequel to Ocean's Godori, closing Elaine U. Cho's duology. It is cinematic in scale, with romance and fighting running side by side. The crew face clashing ideals, gunfire and feelings they cannot deny on the way to a final stand. Questions of identity, grief, loyalty and sacrifice run underneath the action.
