Rust-Eater Bisco, Vol. 1

In a Japan devastated by the Rust Wind, a plague that corrodes flesh into brittle iron sand, a mushroom-wielding outlaw named Bisco Akaboshi—known as the Man-Eating Redcap—sets out across the Iron Desert in search of the Rust-Eater, a mythical mushroom said to cure the affliction. He is joined by Milo Nekoyanagi, a young doctor from a settlement that has branded Bisco a criminal. Together they cross a wasteland of giant mutated creatures and hostile factions on the trail of a cure that most believe is only a legend.

This is the first volume of the Sabikui Bisco light novel series, written by Shinji Cobkubo with illustrations by K Akagishi and world-building art by mocha.
