After moving to Cedar Cove and finding a new sense of belonging among her neighbors, Jo Marie Rose is eager to finish the latest addition to her inn. She has designed a beautiful rose garden in memory of her late husband Paul and enlisted handyman Mark Taylor to help bring it to life; despite their frequent disagreements, she finds comfort in his company. As spring arrives, each guest at the Inn carries their own story of healing: Annie Newton returns home for her grandparents' fiftieth anniversary while grappling with a broken engagement and an unexpected reunion with childhood friend Oliver Sutton; and Mary Smith, a successful businesswoman facing serious illness, returns to Cedar Cove to make amends after walking away from true love nearly two decades earlier. Each character finds their own path toward hope and resolution in the heart of this small coastal town.
