Synopsis

Cursed and dying, Thorn reaches a crossroad: give up, or walk a path he never wanted to touch. Accepting that his only chance at life lies in corrupt magic, he sets out into a world of ancient mysteries while trying to cover his tracks from the people hunting him.

Bounty hunters want to drag him back in chains, and the deeper he goes the less the pursuit looks like a simple manhunt. The Tardoff clan, one of the powerful challenger families, wants him for what he knows about ancient runes, and when Thorn learns that some of his companions from Angoril may be held alongside them, hiding stops being an option. Escaping will cost him everything he has left, and what comes out the other side will be remade in body and soul.

The second book in the Tower series, set in the world of Nova Terra and continuing Thorn's story from The Titan series.
