Synopsis

In ancient Rome, the ambitious nobleman Vinicius desires the beautiful Christian princess Lygia, a hostage in the emperor's court. His initial attempts to possess her are thwarted by her faith, which begins to challenge his own selfish nature. As Emperor Nero's persecution of Christians escalates, Vinicius must choose between his loyalty to the emperor and his growing devotion to Lygia and her God.
