Ainz Ooal Gown has been building a double life in E-Rantel as the adventurer Momon, but his work is interrupted by word of rebellion within his own guild: Shalltear Bloodfallen, one of his most loyal Floor Guardians, has turned against Nazarick. Ainz sets out to learn what caused her betrayal and to bring her back under his control, leading to a confrontation between the overlord and his own creation. The volume continues the light novel series following Ainz's rule over the tomb of Nazarick and its guardians after his transportation from the game Yggdrasil to a new world.
