Mistletoe Murder
Christmas is coming to Tinker's Cove, Maine, and Lucy Stone needs money. She takes a night shift at Country Cousins, the mail-order company that keeps the town employed, and settles in to fill orders alongside her neighbors. Then the company's owner is found dead in the warehouse, and the death looks less like an accident the longer Lucy thinks about it.
With small children at home and a busy holiday season around her, Lucy works the case in the gaps of her ordinary life, drawing on gossip, ledgers, and the fact that in a town this size everybody knows everybody's business.
This is the first book in Leslie Meier's long-running Lucy Stone series, originally published in 1991 as Mail-Order Murder and later reissued under the title Mistletoe Murder.
A Tinker's Cove mother who takes a holiday job and stumbles into a murder investigation.
