Midnight and the meaning of love

Midnight — an intelligent, fiercely protective Ninjutsu-trained fighter and devout Muslim — marries sixteen-year-old Akemi, who has left Japan to be with him. Their marriage is barely underway when Akemi's father kidnaps her and takes her back to Japan. After securing his mother, Umma, and sister, Naja, Midnight sets off on a journey across three countries and cultures to reclaim his wife, meeting people along the way who change him as much as he changes them.
