Synopsis

On the night of a total lunar eclipse, a dangerous potion is brewed on the world of Aventerra — one meant to finally hand the Black Prince Borboron victory over the Warriors of Light. Soon after, Laura Leander falls into a deep coma following a mountain-bike accident. Doctors find nothing physically wrong with her; only her brother Lukas senses that her life now hangs by a thread, because Borboron has turned her into a pawn in his endgame.

Laura wakes only as a dream-figure, with no memory but what she can piece together from her own earlier journeys into Aventerra. To save herself — and Lukas, whom Borboron has abducted and means to force into desecrating the sacred Labyrinth of Light — she must go looking for her own past, aided by the cloud-dancer Auriel and other allies from the other world. If Borboron succeeds, the fall of both worlds is sealed, and only Laura stands in the way.

Sixth entry in Peter Freund's long-running German YA fantasy series, following Laura's ongoing fight against the Black Prince Borboron.
