La profecía del águila
La profecía del águila is the sixth novel in Simon Scarrow's Eagles of the Empire series, following centurions Macro and Cato through the Roman legions of the mid-first century AD. Awaiting the outcome of a scandal in Rome, the pair are pulled into a new and dangerous assignment by Narcissus, the emperor's imperial secretary: recover a set of stolen scrolls of vital strategic value before they fall into the hands of a secret society plotting to restore the Republic.
The mission takes Macro and Cato to sea for the first time, joining the Roman fleet at Ravenna to hunt down the pirate chief Telemachus in the Adriatic. Complicating the campaign is their old antagonist Vitellius, now the fleet's prefect, along with a traitor operating inside the Roman ranks. Set in AD 45, the novel combines naval warfare with the political intrigue that runs through the series.
Translated into Spanish by Montserrat Batista Pegueroles, this edition continues the Águila series for Spanish-language readers, sitting at book six of Quinto Licinio Cato (Cato) and Macro's ongoing story in the legions of Emperor Claudius.
