Intervention
Barbara Covington's last hope to save her daughter, Emily, from addiction is an intervention. But when Emily vanishes en route to rehab and her interventionist is found dead, Barbara is plunged into a terrifying nightmare. As Emily becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation, Barbara races against time to prove her daughter's innocence, all while questioning if she truly knows her anymore.
Intervention is the first book in the Intervention series, and while it introduces the main characters and central conflict, it can be read as a standalone story. The subsequent books continue the narrative threads but each installment has its own resolved plot.
Terri Blackstock drew inspiration from real-life experiences with addiction and recovery when writing Intervention, aiming to portray the struggles and complexities faced by families dealing with substance abuse with authenticity.
