Synopsis

In an alternate 1912 Cairo, where magic and machinery share the streets, Ministry agents Hamed Nasr and his new partner Onsi Youssef are called to deal with what should be a routine job: an aerial tram car possessed by some kind of spirit. Removing it proves harder than expected once the agents realize the entity isn't a djinn at all, and their investigation into what it really is and how it ended up trapped in the tram pulls them into Cairo's world of suffragettes, secret societies, and clockwork automatons.
