Synopsis

Malik Solanka, a Cambridge-educated academic and miniaturist, finds himself adrift in a world he no longer understands. After his miniature creations become an unlikely hit on television, he is drawn into the frantic energy of New York City, where the line between his carefully constructed world and a darker reality begins to blur. As his obsession with miniatures and his growing paranoia take hold, Solanka's descent into violence and madness accelerates, and the city itself becomes a mirror of his unraveling mind. Salman Rushdie's Fury is a darkly comic, satirical indictment of media culture, globalization, and the fragility of the human psyche under pressure.
