In a secluded rural town, children born with deformities are kept hidden from the world. When Trevor's younger brother, one of these so-called "freaks," escapes into the forbidden woods, Trevor must confront the dark secrets his family and community have buried. He soon discovers that the true monsters might not be the ones lurking in the shadows, but the people he's always known.
