Synopsis

After the fall of Steelheart, David Charleston has become a full member of the Reckoners and is sent to Babylon Restored — the Epic-controlled version of New York City — now submerged in water and ruled by the Epic Regalia. There, the team hunts their next target while David investigates a theory that some Epics might be able to resist the corruption that power brings. The search for that answer changes everything David thought he knew about Megan, the Reckoner agent he has been drawn to since Steelheart, and about the nature of the Epics themselves. Firefight shifts the action to a drowned, neon-lit New York and expands the world of the Reckoners considerably.
