Firebolt

Sixteen-year-old Elena Watkins doesn't believe in fairy tales — until a dragon kills her father. Thrown into a new world she never knew existed, Elena enrolls at Dragonia Academy, an elite school for Dragonians: humans destined to bond with and ride their own dragon. As she adjusts to her strange new school and the politics of the world hidden behind it, she begins to uncover secrets about her father's death and a long-dead sorcerer who may be stirring again. Firebolt is the first book in the Dragonian Series.
