Synopsis

Fence, Vol. 5: Rise finds Nicholas and his Kings Row teammates celebrating their invitation to the elite Halverton Training Camp, only to run into the best fencing teams in the country. Nicholas is knocked down repeatedly by an old enemy, and the losses push him to reckon with how far he still has to go before he can call himself Seiji's true rival. Written by C. S. Pacat with art by Johanna the Mad, this volume keeps the series' focus on competitive fencing and slow-burn rivalry-turned-friendship at its center.
