Synopsis

Executive Power finds Mitch Rapp sidelined from field operations after his cover is blown, reassigned as a counterterrorism advisor to CIA director Irene Kennedy. The quiet doesn't last: when a Navy SEAL rescue of an American family held hostage by Abu Sayyaf terrorists in the Philippines goes wrong, Rapp is pulled back into direct action, working with a private team of former SEALs to finish the job himself.

As Rapp's unauthorized operations put strain on his marriage, a separate, larger conspiracy reaching into the Middle East begins to surface — one that draws Rapp toward a European endgame with consequences well beyond the hostage crisis that pulled him back in.

The novel keeps Flynn's signature focus on tradecraft and consequence, following Rapp as he weighs personal cost against the missions only he seems willing to run.
