Vince Flynn (1966-2013) was an American author of political thrillers. He created CIA counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp, introducing the character in his second novel, Transfer of Power (1999), and wrote the series until his death from prostate cancer in 2013. The Mitch Rapp series has continued since under other authors, first Kyle Mills and later Don Bentley.
