Synopsis

Six years after his triumph over the god Azash, Sparhawk enjoys peace with his queen Ehlana — until bandits, political unrest, and vanishing Trolls signal a familiar evil stirring again. When an ambassador arrives from the distant Tamul empire begging for help against ancient warriors risen from the dead and unleashing monsters and dark magic, Sparhawk, Ehlana, and their daughter Princess Danae set out on the long journey east.

Traveling with trusted companions — the knight Berit, the giantess Mirtai, the young thief Talen, and the child-goddess Aphrael — the group reaches the Tamul capital of Matherion only to uncover a plot against the emperor and mounting evidence that the Troll-Gods and other old enemies are far from finished. David Eddings opens the Tamuli trilogy, a direct sequel to his Elenium series.
