Synopsis

After an affair with a student costs him his job and reputation, Professor David Lurie retreats to his daughter Lucy's isolated farm in post-apartheid South Africa. What begins as a temporary refuge becomes an extended stay as David grapples with his disgraced past and attempts to reconnect with Lucy amidst new societal complexities. An act of violence shatters their fragile peace, forcing David to confront his beliefs and the harsh realities of their world.
