Synopsis

A naive, arrogant ensign aboard the aging destroyer USS Caine becomes the unlikely center of a mutiny after a clash with his ship's new captain, a rigid by-the-book officer who refuses to admit his own errors. When the mutiny is exposed, the story shifts into a tense courtroom drama as the officers are tried for mutiny and insubordination, and the question of whether the act was a mutiny or a matter of interpretation becomes the case's true heart.
