Synopsis

Miami blood-spatter analyst Dexter Morgan finds himself in the spotlight when he is assigned to shadow a Hollywood star researching a new police drama. The job gets complicated when a real killer targets the production, forcing Dexter to protect his secret life while hunting a murderer who shares his flair for the dramatic. He must navigate the fake world of television while satisfying his own dark urges in the shadows.

Jeff Lindsay is the pen name of Jeffry P. Freundlich, an American playwright and crime novelist born in Miami, Florida, in 1952. He is best known for the Dexter series, eight novels about Dexter Morgan, a Miami forensic analyst who is also a vigilante serial killer, beginning with Darkly Dreaming Dexter (2004). The Showtime television series Dexter was based on the first book. He also wrote the Billy Knight thrillers and the Riley Wolfe series, and earlier works with his wife, Hilary Hemingway.
