Synopsis

Dexter Morgan is struggling to maintain his domestic mask while a relentless police sergeant tracks his every move. When a new killer with a terrifyingly surgical method begins terrorizing Miami, Dexter must decide if he can stay on the sidelines or if his own dark urges will take control. He soon finds himself in a dangerous game where the line between the hunter and the hunted disappears.

Jeff Lindsay is the pen name of Jeffry P. Freundlich, an American playwright and crime novelist born in Miami, Florida, in 1952. He is best known for the Dexter series, eight novels about Dexter Morgan, a Miami forensic analyst who is also a vigilante serial killer, beginning with Darkly Dreaming Dexter (2004). The Showtime television series Dexter was based on the first book. He also wrote the Billy Knight thrillers and the Riley Wolfe series, and earlier works with his wife, Hilary Hemingway.
