Dead Late

Dr. Cornelius O'Brien takes his new girlfriend, the psychotherapist Neve Keane, to his native Ireland for a romantic getaway. Before the holiday can begin, they have a favor to do for the President of the United States.

The task sounds easy: look in on the President's goddaughter, who is studying in Cork City. Each step they take instead draws Neve and Cornelius further into a hidden world of human suffering, one that is clandestine and frightening.

Cornelius is trapped by dark forces he cannot escape. He faces a choice between breaking the Hippocratic oath and putting Neve in immediate danger.

Neve, kept in the dark, has a dilemma of her own. She promised Cornelius her trust, but a young woman may be about to fall into the hands of murderers, and acting quickly could mean breaking that promise.

This is the conclusion of the Things Unseen romantic thriller series. A patient is being prepared for something, and the clock keeps running.
