Crisis on Infinite Earths
Crisis on Infinite Earths is a landmark 1985-1986 crossover event in which the villainous Anti-Monitor unleashes waves of antimatter to destroy the DC Multiverse. As parallel Earths are consumed, the Monitor rallies heroes from across the multiverse to stand against the encroaching destruction. The series is famous for its extensive cast of casualties, including several of the publisher's most prominent characters, and for its role in rebooting the DC Universe into a single, unified continuity. Written by Marv Wolfman and illustrated by George Pérez, it remains one of the most influential crossover events in comic book history.
