An Incurable Case of Love, Vol. 1 opens Maki Enjoji's romance manga series about Nanase Sakura, a young nurse who became a nurse after witnessing a handsome, seemingly ideal doctor save a stranger's life five years earlier. When she is finally assigned to work alongside that same doctor, Kairi Tendo, she discovers he bears little resemblance to the composed, charming figure she has carried in her memory.

The series, serialized in Shogakukan's Petit Comic from 2016 to 2019 and collected across seven volumes, follows the pair's prickly, gradually warming workplace relationship inside a hospital setting, balancing hospital-drama beats with a slow-building romantic comedy between two mismatched leads.
