Synopsis

In the small town of Crossroads, Mississippi, supernatural beings live openly under careful arrangement, and Sheriff Ava Dushaine serves as the paranormal liaison charged with keeping the peace between humans, werewolves, and vampires. When a killer begins stalking the streets and bodies turn up, the trail of suspicion leads straight to Julian Kasey, the werewolf alpha who is also Ava's former lover and the one man she has never been able to forget. Convinced of his innocence yet unable to ignore the evidence, Ava must hunt the real murderer while confronting the desire that still burns between her and Julian. As the investigation deepens, the old attraction reignites and the danger closes in, forcing Ava to decide how much she is willing to risk to protect her town and the man she once loved. A compact paranormal romance that pairs a small-town murder mystery with a charged second-chance reunion between a tough sheriff and the alpha she cannot resist.
