Manhole

Manhole is a three-volume horror-thriller by Tetsuya Tsutsui, serialized in Young Gangan from 2004 to 2006 and published in English by Abrams ComicArts. When a delirious man collapses and dies in the street, prefectural detectives Ken Mizoguchi and Nao Inoue uncover an unusual, rapidly spreading form of filariasis — and trace it to a deliberate act that threatens to erupt into a full-blown epidemic.
