Synopsis

Women of Camelot: Queens and Enchantresses at the Court of King Arthur retells the Arthurian legend, based on Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur, through the perspectives of seven women who shaped the fate of Camelot. Guinevere's love for Sir Lancelot complicates her unhappy marriage to King Arthur; Elaine of Corbenic tricks Lancelot into fathering her son, Sir Galahad; Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, strips Merlin of his magic; and Morgan le Fay, Arthur's half-sister, works against him as a sworn enemy. Illustrated by Christina Balit, the book presents the familiar legend from the point of view of the women at its center.
