While the Duke Was Sleeping

Poppy Fairchurch knows there is no point fantasising about the Duke of Autenberry. She is a shop girl; he is a duke; the daydream costs nobody anything. Then she sees a carriage bearing down on him in the street and pulls him clear.

The duke survives, but lapses into a coma — and in the confusion Poppy is taken for his fiancée. Nobody at his bedside questions it except Struan Mackenzie, his arrogant, illegitimate and far too handsome half-brother, who knows exactly what she is not.

First in Sophie Jordan's Rogue Files, this is a Regency historical romance that borrows the premise of a beloved rom-com and plays it out in banter, deception and a slow surrender between two people used to being nobody's first choice.
