Synopsis

In 1840s Mexico, Nena survives a terrifying attack by a blood-drinking creature, while her childhood sweetheart Néstor flees in grief, believing her dead. Nine years later, the United States invades Mexico, reuniting them on the brink of war—Nena as a healer and Néstor as a vaquero soldier. As they clash over past misunderstandings, they must unite to survive both the invading army and the return of the monstrous threat.
