Synopsis

In the hidden world of Sacred Valley, everyone is born with a spirit shaped for one of the sacred arts, drawing on the elemental energy of madra to fight and grow in power. Everyone except Lindon, who is Unsouled: talentless, scorned, and barred from the paths his clan lives by.

When a chance encounter grants Lindon a glimpse of a catastrophe hurtling toward his home, and of the vast, deadly world beyond the mountains that hem his people in, he refuses to accept the limits everyone insists are his fate. Armed with cunning, borrowed knowledge, and a willingness to break every rule of Sacred Valley, he sets out to become strong enough to matter.

Unsouled opens Will Wight's hugely popular Cradle series, a fast-moving progression fantasy about an underdog clawing his way up an endless ladder of power one hard-won rung at a time.
