Time Trap
Rayen wakes in a version of Albuquerque that feels wrong to her, and she has no memory of who she is. An institute for strange students takes her in while its staff look for her family. Inside her, a dangerous power is growing, and she cannot control it.
The power breaks loose without warning and opens a portal. It drags Rayen and two of her classmates, Tony and Gabby, into a fractured future. That future holds a secret with the potential to destroy both worlds, theirs and the one they have landed in.
In the future, an elite fighter guards a ragtag group of survivors. He is the only person who can get Rayen home. Then one impulsive act of hers brands her as the enemy, and she has to persuade him that she is not.
This is time-travel science fiction with a romance running through it, and the romance grows out of the distrust between Rayen and the fighter. Time Trap is the first book in Micah Caida's Red Moon trilogy, so it opens a larger story rather than closing one.
