Synopsis

Young barrister Michael Cantrip travels to the Channel Islands for a lucrative tax-law case, only to find himself embroiled in a series of murders. Members of his legal team are being picked off one by one, leaving Cantrip in grave danger. He calls on amateur investigator Hilary Tamar, an Oxford don, to help solve the mystery and ensure his survival.
