Soren's older brother, now Metal Beak, leader of the Pure Ones and the mastermind behind Eglantine's brainwashing.

Soren's younger sister; captured and brainwashed into unwittingly spying for the Pure Ones, later found and rescued by the Band.

Twilight

A great grey owl of the Band, a boisterous fighter who joins the rescue mission and the climactic battle against the Pure Ones.

Gylfie

An elf owl, Soren's closest friend and fellow Band member on the mission to rescue Eglantine.

Digger

A burrowing owl and tracker of the Band who helps search for Eglantine.
