Frequently asked questions

  • Can I read this book if I have not read the previous Alex Cross novels?

While this is the twenty-fifth entry in the long-running series, it functions effectively as a standalone story because the central legal conflict is self-contained. You will not be lost if you choose to start here, though long-term readers may appreciate the established history of the protagonist.

  • Is this book connected to the Amazon Prime Video series Cross?

The Alex Cross novels, including this title, serve as the source material for the television series Cross. The show adapts the characters and world established throughout the book series rather than following a single novel chronologically.
