Synopsis

In Target: Alex Cross, the twenty-fourth novel in James Patterson's long-running series, former D.C. homicide detective Alex Cross and his wife Bree Stone are thrust into one of their most dangerous cases yet. A sniper strikes a target on Capitol Hill during a funeral procession, and soon it becomes clear that no high-ranking official is safe — the assassin's list keeps growing with each passing day. As the scope narrows toward Washington D.C., Cross must race against time to uncover who is behind the plot before more lives are lost.
