Synopsis

Ruga Karrsdaughter, an orc princess who has spent years dutifully serving the country of Torden, is set to marry Elketh Ceridwen, a rakish elf princess, to secure a much-needed alliance between their two kingdoms. Elketh has never had to answer for her own chaos, and she treats their fifty-day betrothal as a chance to sabotage the arrangement and get sent home.

Ruga meets every act of rebellion with patience instead of anger, and the two princesses are forced into each other's company again and again as the wedding approaches. What starts as an arranged, unwanted match slowly turns into something neither of them is prepared for.

The Orc and Her Bride is the first book in The Sapphic Orcs of Torden, a sapphic fantasy romance series pairing a new couple each installment against a shared background plot. It blends humor with genuine angst, and builds its enemies-to-lovers arc slowly, across a marriage neither princess chose.
