Synopsis

Prince Kadou, a shy royal from Arasht, finds himself embroiled in a political dispute after an altercation with a powerful ambassador. To prove his loyalty to the queen, his sister, Kadou takes on the investigation of a guild break-in, aided by his stoic new bodyguard, Evemer. In a kingdom where touching precious metals reveals their truth and counterfeiting is heresy, their investigation uncovers a conspiracy that threatens to destabilize the entire realm.

Alexandra Rowland is the author of several fantasy books, including A Conspiracy Of Truths, A Choir Of Lies, and Some by Virtue Fall, as well as a Hugo Award-nominated podcaster (all sternly supervised by their feline quality control manager). They hold a degree in world literature, mythology, and folklore from Truman State University. She coined the term Hopepunk in July 2017 to refer to a new subgenre within fantasy literature as opposed to the existing grimdark.
