Synopsis

On Christmas Eve in the village of Dikanka, a drunken brawl among carolers sets off a chain of supernatural mischief: the Devil himself rides through town causing chaos, while local women are transformed into animals by his magic. Amidst this mayhem, the blacksmith Vakula embarks on an improbable quest to win the heart of Oksana.
