Synopsis

Told from the perspective of Lord Elias Wilder, Regency England's formidable court magician, this novella picks up just after the events of Half a Soul. Woven through the present-day story are glimpses back into the Lord Sorcier's own childhood spent among the fae, memories that shed new light on the man readers have come to know as brusque, brilliant, and more than a little strange.

A quieter, character-focused entry in the Regency Faerie Tales series, it fills in the corners of Elias's history that the earlier novels only hinted at.
