Synopsis

When Jamie Gray loses his job during the COVID-19 pandemic, an old acquaintance offers him fieldwork for what he calls an animal-rights organization. It turns out KPS stands for the Kaiju Preservation Society, and the "animals" are dinosaur-sized creatures living in a parallel dimension, not on Earth at all. Protecting them, and keeping their existence secret from people who would exploit them, turns out to be only the beginning of Jamie's problems.
