Synopsis

Ekaterin Vorkosigan and her husband's armsman, Roic, venture into the radioactive exclusion zone of Vashnoi to test a new bio-remediation project. Their scientific mission takes a turn when they discover a small community of survivors living in the contaminated ruins. Ekaterin must navigate the delicate balance of planetary cleanup and the human lives still clinging to the poisoned soil.
