Synopsis

Following the invasion of Australia depicted in Tomorrow, When the War Began, a small group of teenagers who escaped capture continue to operate from their hidden bush hideout, Hell. When several of their friends go missing, the group must risk everything to find them while continuing their guerrilla resistance against the occupying forces.

The Dead of Night, the second book in John Marsden's Tomorrow series, follows Ellie and her friends as they weigh loyalty and survival against the increasing brutality of war, forcing choices that push each of them further from the ordinary teenagers they were before the invasion.
