Synopsis

In the city of Diaspar, humanity has lived for a million years, shielded from the harsh realities of the universe. Young Alvin, however, feels a growing unease with his world's stagnant perfection. When he discovers a mysterious artifact, he is drawn into a grand adventure that will challenge everything he knows about his city and his place in the galaxy.
